Imants Lancmanis (b. 29.VII.1941, Riga). Completed studies at the J.Rozentāls Riga Secondary School of Art (1959), graduated from the Painting department of the Latvian Academy of Art (1966). From 1976 scientific assistant at the Rundāle Palace annexe of the Bauska Regional History Museum, from 1972 deputy director of Rundāle Palace Museum and its director since 1976. Fields of activity: painting, art history.
