Miervaldis Polis (b. 23.VII. 1948, Riga). Completed studies at the J. Rozentāls Riga Secondary School of Art (1966), Monumental Painting masterclass of the Latvian Academy of Art (1975). Fields of activity: painting, poster art, press and book graphics, caricature, monumental art, installations, actions; has written in the press on art issues.
